About me

I am and currently working in an industry that is heavily focused on compliance which require staff to strictly adhere to corporate processes and policies. Through the years I have come to the realization that most employees would unintentionally break the rules because they didn't comprehend them.

Through my great passion for using technology and the love for google, I taught myself to create GoAnimate (Vyond) videos to create fun, engaging and innovative eLearning content. The videos was a great tool assisting the employees understand, remember and implement crucial processes.

There are numerous technological options available to make learning interactive and enjoyable and I enjoy exploring, studying, and applying these tools to solve real-world problems for businesses and organizations.

In addition to the videos, I have also created process maps, infographics, booklet handouts, and aesthetically pleasing emails which were used to communicate policy updates. The tools that I use are usually those that the organization already owns for example Microsoft Word ,Excel, Powerpoint, etc. together with the free applications available within the wonderful web has to offer. I have also used video editing tools such as Windows Movie Maker, iMovie, Filmora to assist in visually presenting the information which would capture the employees attention.

I was born in the Philippines and moved to South Africa when I was very young. I have 2 sisters and their first name is also Maria. I enjoy traveling, cooking, cycling and sometimes just doing nothing (helps with the creative process).
